The residents of Diwale village have raised their voice against plot no. 70 in sec 11, Belapur. The current rate of this 4500 sq mt land is around 45 crores. The people of villages and rural areas are now standing up for their own causes. Earlier they demanded for the Gram Vistar Yojana to legalize their illegal homes and now their demand is to provide them with their own school, college, hospital, gardens and a playground. The fight for this has started off from the Diwale village where the residents have demanded for the plot at sec 11, Belapur for their social activities. For the past many years, the villagers have been performing various religious programs on this land and recently they had constructed a big stage here. Reacting on this, CIDCO sent them a eviction notice which is being highly protested by the villagers. According to J D Koli, the villagers would be using the land for their various social activities.
