DY CHIEF MINISTER R R PATIL RESIGNS AFTER FACING WRATH OVER MUMBAI TERROR ATTACKS – CHIEF MINISTER VILASRAO DESHMUKH SOON TO FOLLOW

r-r-patil-1Receiving high opposition from the media and masses, Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil has put down his resignation from the post of Deputy Chief Minister. Post the clean up operations of Trident-Oberoi, Nariman House and lastly Taj Mahal hotel, Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and Home Minister R.R. Patil addressed the media in which the latter shamelessly stated that in a big city like Mumbai such small things happen now and then. What Home Minister R R Patil thought was a small incident had killed hundreds of people, numbers still counting and several injured. The small incident is being considered not just the city’s but the country’s worse nightmare. However, as usual our political leaders held a press conference and babbled out numbers statistics and victory. The irresponsible statement passed by Home Minister R R Patil clearly showed how the Minister undermined the gravity of the attack. It maybe recalled that R R Patil rose to fame after his ban on dance bars in the city but even in this case he was an unsuccessful leader as some illegal dance bars still functioned under his ministry with many dance bar girls resorted to prostitution for their livelihood. R R Patil was reluctant to give his in his resignation but mounting pressures amongst the public, media and his own party forced him to put down his resignation. There is a possibility that the Chief Minister resignation may soon follow as right after the attacks, he along with his actor son and film director RGV visited the Taj Hotel for reasons known better to him This has also raised tremendous uproar amongst the citizens. It was indeed disgusting to see a chief minister of the state to take a supposed location tour with a film director in the already ravaged Taj hotel when the tears of many are yet to dry.
