The State Election Commission has sent a letter of appreciation to NMMC Commissioner Vijay Nahata for successfully and smoothly conducting polls. NMMC Commissioner Vijay Nahata is all smiles and there is reason for this. The Election Commission has sent a letter of appreciation to the Commissioner for the smooth and systematic conductance of the municipal polls in Navi Mumbai. The Commission has appreciated the precautions taken by NMMC and the transparency maintained by them in the entire process beginning from ward reservation declaration, nomination filing to voting and even counting. Speaking to NMTV News, the Commissioner said that he had mobilized a man power of 4000 for the election and the result is that he has got hundreds of appreciation letters from his own employees. He said that the process was so fine that officers of others areas where municipal polls are scheduled next are visiting NMMC to understand how they conducted the elections. He said that 200 people were working everyday and they did not get a single complaint from any party or person. He added that the process has been termed as “ideal” and that’s why he has been given the appreciation letter from the State Election Commissioner. The Commissioner said that the credit for the same goes to his entire team of administrative officials.
