With the voting day over, the electronic voting machines that seals the fate of are kept under tight security at APMC market in Navi Mumbai. The Thane Lok Sabha by polls had a disappointing turnout of a meager 26%. While the political parties are waiting anxiously for the result of the elections which are due on May 25, the electronic voting machines are kept under tight security in the APMC Onion and Potato market at Navi Mumbai. The entire election process is divided into 3 stages. The first is campaigning, second is voting and the third is counting of the votes. Two stages over and done, the third and the most significant is still left that is the counting of the votes. When NMTV News visited the area, we spotted Shiv Sena – BJP alliance candidate Anand Paranjpe scrutinizing the security system at the APMC market and voiced satisfaction about the arrangements. The coming 2 days are very important for the election officers and the police department as they have to not only look after the security of ballot boxes, but also have to decide the winning candidate in all transparency. Results awaited, political parties keep their fingers crossed. With cameraperson Ravi Nikam, Monika Bhosale for NMTV News.
