On the occasion of International Women’s Day, an event named Mother-Child Melava was held by Modern School at Vashi. Women’s Day is celebrated all across the world to motivate and encourage women in different stages of life. For the same a Mother Child Melava was held by Modern School, Vashi where women, especially widowed who have stood up on their own to take care of their children and family, were honored. Women contributing towards the welfare of the society were also felicitated. Present during the event to felicitate these women were Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar’s sister Saroj Patil, MLC Manda Mhatre and President of rayat Shikshan Committee, N D Patil. We spoke with N D Patil about the importance of holding such events. Even MLC Manda Mhatre encouraged and appreciated the initiatives of honouring such women.
