Pressing out their demands, the farmers across Maharashtra State took out a morcha to the MSEDC office in Mumbai. The farmers have threatened that if the centre does not agree to their demands in regards to power supply, all the farmers of the state would stage a protest at the upcoming Nagpur state assembly. The farmers staged a one day protest at the MSEDC office in Bandra. Their demands are that MSEDC should provide power connection to their irrigational pumps, proper supply of power and to reimburse the loss they have faced due to power cuts. Vidarbha farmers leader Devrao Dhole stated that the farmers are already burdened with many loans and power cuts have made their situation worse.
