Despite a year to its bhumipujan, the work to make a flyover at Navghar Junction has yet not started. 10 persons have lost their lives in the last one year in the absence of a flyover. The state had performed the bhumipujan ceremony for the construction of the flyover at Mulund’s Navghar junction a year ago. However, there has been no progress on the site since then. In the last one year, 39 accidents have been reported and 10 persons have lost their life. In the absence of a flyover, the locals have no choice but to put their lives at risk. The Navghar junction sees thousands of locals crossing railway tracks daily, more so as the municipal colony is located off the junction. Sources reveal that political reasons are holding up the work. While rasta roko protests for the flyover have been a failure earlier, locals are once again planning a similar protest.
