FORMER LOK SABHA SPEAKER MANOHAR JOSHI SAYS PROGRESS FORMS THE MAIN POLL ISSUE FOR POLITICAL PARTIES

manohar-joshiShiv Sena’s senior leader and former Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi has stated that this time the most important issue for the elections would be progress and development and not sentiments. According to Shiv Sena senior leader and former Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi the issue of progress and development will be the centre of the elections and this time round no political parties have taken the issue of sentiments to contest the elections. He further added that the massive turn out of supporters at the public rallies by Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackarey indicates that this time round, the Sena-BJP alliance will wins higher number of seats as compared to before. It maybe recalled that this alliance had managed to win 25 seats in the previous Lok Sabha elections and if Manohar Joshi’s predicament does come true then the number is likely to cross 30 this time. While we would have to wait for the 16th of May to know how much this statement would be true, Uddhav Thackarey and his powerful rallies have changed the minds of many who used to think he was demure, silent leader.
