But the trend is increasingly making people vulnerable to unfit and unhealthy disorders. This isn’t alien to you if you are a working couple. Canned and processed food make life simple in kitchen but what you do not know is that the trend isn’t healthy for your family. Canning of foods that first occurred in the 18th century in lieu of long sea voyages demands and the likes; today has become a life savior for the increasing needs of urban populations. But these canned foods are processed to the extent such that they are highly low on nutritional value. While this is definitely not a healthy practice in the long run, doctors suggest that easily made green leafy vegetables should be given preference by working couples. For they are good sources of many vitamins and minerals that the body needs to stay healthy, like vitamin A, vitamin C, and calcium. Not just this some preservatives added in canned food such as nitrites or sulphites may cause adverse health effects.
