Godrej Constructions to change the skyline of Navi Mumbai with redevelopment ?

#GodrejConstructions #NaviMumbaiSkyline #Redevelopment

Nothing seems to fall in place as far as redevelopment of dilapidated CIDCO homes in Navi Mumbai is concerned. Even as redevelopment in approved and is seeing the light of the day in neighbouring cities of Mumbai and Thane, the jinx in Navi Mumbai continues. The blame that fell squarely on the apathy and failed political will of the Congress NCP led Democratic Front government is now being seen as the failure of even of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis government. The present government approved the 2.5 FSI on war footing but the policy still eludes reality. The issue geared up much heat recently when former Commissioner Dr Ramaswamy N dared to forcibly evict Gulmohar Society at Vashi – that compromises 18 JN Type buildings and has been declared as “dangerous for human occupancy.” In the midst of the chaos and noise, what has come on record is that reality giant Godrej has entered the redevelopment market in Navi Mumbai. The local corporator of Congress Avinash Lad shared the same.

He questioned when a brand like Godrej was ready to redevelop their homes, then why can’t owners of the dilapidated CIDCO homes not see that this is for their good.

And the question does hold merit. Instead of relying on local developers in Navi Mumbai that have been tainted in various scams or blamed for poor construction often than not, corporate brand names like Godrej Construction will have more expertise, experience and resources to give shape to redevelopment of dilapidated CIDCO homes in the best way possible. It remains a wonder why owners of dilapidated CIDCO homes; that have been fooled in the name of redevelopment for decades, are not convinced that in corporate reality houses like Godrej, there is hope that the skyline of Navi Mumbai’s redevelopment will finally see the light of the day.
