Speaking to the media, MP Anand Paranjpe informed that the Thane Nerul rail route was to commence on November 23 but with the Mumbai terror attack, the inauguration of the same was postponed. The report of Thane-Nerul and Thane-Panvel rail route was a definite relief for the commuters who wait for buses and have to go through grueling traffic everyday to reach to and fro to Thane. While these routes were supposed to start from November end itself, MP Anand Paranjpe informed that the inauguration date was postponed and would be held soon. The central railways is already running trains between Vashi and Thane and on the demand of commutes, the Shiv Sena has been trying to persuade the central railways to extend the services and make it Panvel to Thane.
