The Navi Mumbai Kala Sankul’s Balnatya Mahotsav 2011 held the prize distribution ceremony at Vishnudas Bhave auditorium. The mahotsav held under the vision of Thane MP Dr. Sanjeev Naik saw a grand ending to the Balmatya Mahotsav where the final child artists performed on various social issues. Inspired by Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik., Thane MP Dr. Sanjeev Naik has been organized a fest to celebrate the diverse culture of India through his NGO Navi Mumbai Kala Sankul’s “Balnatya Mahotsav 2011.” In this festival, students of nearly 78 colleges participated out of which 14 child artists reached the finals. These finalists presented their performances on the final day of the Balnatya Mahotsav which was held at Vishnudas Bhave auditorium in Vashi. The drama which ranged in topics of social issues had 9 plays in Marathi and 5 in Hindi. The child artists through their performances not only passed the message of social peace and harmony but also in their special style won the hearts of the audience. Later in the evening, in the presence of Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, the prize distribution of the Balnatya Mahotsav 2011 was held. Present along with the minister during this time was prominent actor Sunil Barve, President of Navi Mumbai Kala Sankul MP Dr. Sanjeev Naik, MLA Sandeep Naik, Mayor Sagar Naik, ACP Mujeeb Shaikh and others. The winners of the Mahotsav were felicitated at the hands of Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik. Addressing the audience, giving the example of the Pune festival held in Pune, Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik expressed hope that Navi Mumbai too through such Mahotsavs should reach every household which aims at keeping alive the tradition and culture of India. Speaking to the media, Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik said that it was important to provide such platforms to students so that they can show their innate talents. Actor Sunil Barwe appreciated the balnatya Mahotsav and performances of the students. On the occasion, the man behind the event and the President of Navi Mumbai Kala Sankul Thane MP Dr. Sanjeev Naik spoke on the aim behind organizing Balnatya Mahotsav 2011.
