General railway Police has started its own helpline number for commuters. Speaking during the inauguration, Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil stated that after this launch, the responsibility of GRP would increase. To combat the problems that local commuters face while traveling in trains, GRP has started a helpline number 9833331111. The GRP helpline service was inaugurated at the hands of Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil who stated that the responsibility of the GRP would increase henceforth. We also spoke with A K Sharma, Commissioner of GRP who informed that with the start of the helpline numbers, incidents such as loot, fight and accidents on local trains who be immediately tackled.
