They went to take lessons of Gandhigiri. Headed by Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, a group of city leaders watched the 3pm show of Lage Raho Munnabhai at Meghraj Multiplex. We caught up with the leader before and after the show. With arrangements for the press, a special screening of Lage Raho Munnabhai was arranged at Meghraj Multiplex, Vashi by Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi. When the Minister arrived to watch the 3pm show, he voiced that there was a day and age when the simplicity of politicians was revered, but today big cars and big homes have become the identity of political leaders. Hence, every attempt should be made to spread the teachings and principles of the Mahatma. Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, his sons Sanjeev and Sandip Naik and several local party leaders and workers watched the entire film. Whether the local leaders gathered to seriously be inspired and imbibe the qualities of Mahatma Gandhi or they could not let go off an opportunity to watch a film with their leader, the number of political presenties at the show was definitely good. After the show, an impressed Ganesh Naik said that films like Lage Raho Munnabhai are very inspiring, especially for the youth and atleast in Maharashtra should be made tax free. For the city NCP party workers who have on several occasions indulged in shameful examples of violence, whether the attempt of Ganesh Naik to teach them non violence or rather Gandhigiri is successful or not, only time will tell.
