Shri Guruvayurappan Bhakta Samaj in Vashi had organized a Shrimad Bhagvata week which saw many eminent pandits from Kerala performing pujas here. The Guruvayurappan Bhakta Samaj offers special prayers at this time of the year to pay tribute to Lord Krishna. The prayers consist of havens, bhajans and kirtans of lord Vishnu. At the time being the Guruvayrappan temple is being completed to serve the devotees better which are expected to complete by next year. VK Narayan, Secretary of Shri Guruvayurappan Bhakta Samaj gave us an insight of the purpose and objective of this programme. Once completed, the temple would be holding Koti Archana which will be the first of its kind in Navi Mumbai. It is likely to be held from November 5 to November 16. During Koti Archana, 1 crore Archanas will be performed for Lord Krishna from 7 am onwards to 7 pm. People belonging to all caste are invited in this puja. Guruvayrappan is mainly worshipped by Malyalis.
