Many parts of the city are still reeling under extreme water shortage where citizens are forced to used the unclean water of gutters to live their daily life. And shockingly, the same is the case of farmers growing vegetables. While there is acute shortage of water for citizens to carry one with their daily life routine even farmers growing vegetables are not free from it. This is the land alongside of the railway tracks where vegetables are grown by the farmers. The Railway authorities had allotted this patch of land for agriculture purpose so that the open space does not come under any kind of encroachment. However, negligence by the railway authorities and shortage of water has forced the cultivators to utilize the gutter water for cultivation.
