HELP TEAM TO REACH OUT TO VICTIMS OF ACCIDENTS ON MUMBRA KAUSA HIGHWAY

mumbara--1The Thane ACP Traffic Office has made an accident victims help cell that will immediately attend to victims of accidents on Mumbai Kausa Highway. The Mumbra Kausa Highway was commissioned by the state government on 28th December 2008 with the aim of reducing the traffic on the Mumbai Pune Highway. The Mumbra Kausa Highway sees heavy trucks, containers and trailers plying through the highway round the clock. Since the highway has been made though the hills, the highway has elevations that motorists often misjudge resulting in accidents. Accidents on the highway have claimed several lives. To attend to the victims of accidents and give them timely first aid, the Thane Traffic Dept. has formed the Accident Help Cell. Youth living along the highway are a part of the cell. These youth have been issued identity cards by the police. The cell members have been giving training and a kit for attending to accident victims. The accident help cell has been formulated under the dynamic leadership of Thane DCP Dr. Gyaneshwar Chauhan and ACP Traffic Madhav Malve. With cameraperson Ravi Nikam, Monika Bhosale for NMTV News.
