HIGH COURT APPALLED AT THE ATTITUDE OF BABUS TOWARDS SAFETY OF SECURITY PERSONNEL IN THE STATE

The paper tigers in Mantralaya were shown their place by the Mumbai High Court this week for their lackadaisical attitude towards the safety of security personnel post-26/11. The court pulled up the government after being told that the State has only 27 bullet-proof jackets and just four fibre helmets for the 461 Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) personnel. In a decision that may add to the state’s discomfort, the Mumbai High Court on Thursday asked the Maharashtra government to submit, in a sealed cover, the Ram Pradhan Committee report that probed the state government’s response to the 26/11 terror attacks.
