HOME MINISTER R R PATIL TO FORM SECURITY COUNCIL IN THE STATE

rrpatil-2With the failure of the state police to provide security at the time of riots and the question mark that is being raised in the state assembly, the government has decided to start a state security council. Looking at the heated debates carried out at the State Assembly with regards to the failure of the police security to prevail peace in the city, the state government has finally decided to set up a State Security Council. The President of the Council would be the Home Minister himself and leaders of the Opposition party would also be made a part of this Council. The Council would also include the State’s Chief Secretary, Police DIG as members. Speaking at the State Assembly on behalf of the state government, Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil spoke about this Security Council. Although a similar initiative of forming a council was taken earlier but the state government did not take it seriously. It would be a wait and watch if the government is successful in its plans this time round. With cameraperson Abhay Prasad, Rajeev Mishra for NMTV News.
