ICLES’ Motilal Jhunjhunwala College of Arts, Science and Commerce would be holding a national seminar on the 21st January in Vashi. The seminar is jointly organized by Indian Women Scientist association, Vashi and department of History supported by department of EVS, BMM and BMS of the College. The year 2008 makes contemporary affairs and issues a greater concern than ever before. The turbulent year has jolted each one of us from our languishing lifestyles, as the rot had begun to set in, in terms of degenerating health, falling standards in education, degrading values and complete disrespect for the Nation and nature. With regard to these changes, the National conference would focus on issues like contemporary affairs and issues: concern and management. This conference is being primarily held for students, as these young minds would be able to provide a better solution for the problems existing in the society. The seminar would consist of four main categories such as environment, history, research on women resurgence and social science. The students will be given away awards for their research in the respective categories. We also spoke to Jayashree Daau, Principal ICL College who told us how important it is for the students to participate in such programmes. We spoke to few of the researchers, who have studied and conducted research in each of the categories. It must be noted that experts from each respective subject and from renowned educational institutions would be judging the students. In the final round, four students will be selected from each category and they will be questioned about their research. The seminar will provide a platform to the youth to deliberate on the endless list of contemporary affairs and issues need to be reviewed to find solutions.
