IN FEATURE TODAY MEET STUDENTS OF RUIA COLLEGE WHO HAVE SET UP THE FIRST EVER COLLEGE E RADIO STATION

radio-4Students of Ramnarian Ruia college in Mumbai have launched the first ever college e-radio station. This is first of its kind campus e-radio station in India. NMTV’s team caught up with the students at the recording room of the college where the students were recording their first radio program. Younger generation has several ideas in its mind. So do the students of Ramnarian Ruia College. These students belonging to various fields have launched the 24X7 e-radio station of the college, which can be heard across the world and is the first college e-radio station in India. This is the view of recording room where the students are busy recording their first show on the e-radio. The shows are based on music, literature and other entertainment. The e-radio station has been launched in order to provide a platform to the students of the college, to show their talents and to share their knowledge with fellow students. The radio station will not play any commercial or bollywood music as there are many radio shows broadcasting such music. Instead it will broadcast original band performance and solo musical performances of the students. The radio is available at the website www.ruiacollegeradio.com. We spoke to the programming head of the radio station who gave insight about the e-radio station and said that through this they are once again reviving the radio culture among the students. We also spoke to the RJ’s who are the students of the college. They have their own shows to air on this radio and every one has some motive behind presenting a show. We spoke to the brain behind establishing the station, Shantanu Joshi, who is TYBMM student at the college. He also said how time management is important if some one wants to preserve his or her passion. When you look at the team behind the e-radio at Ruia College, you know exactly why the young generation of India is being called as its biggest asset.
