Investment in physical, digital infrastructure expected in budget session

“The ecosystem for startups needs a lot of work in India,” says According to the founder of Ed Cast, Karl Mehta there are expectations of outsize investment in physical infrastructure, digital infrastructure and skills development. While speaking to a news daily he said, “I’m expecting outsize investment in physical infrastructure, digital infrastructure and skills development, which I would like to call a trinity-boost for achieving the fast growth that India needs for its demographic dividend of youngsters. These trinity-boosters will lift the overall economy and is the foundation for Start-up India initiative as well.”

Speaking about the several initiatives outlined by PM Modi at Startup India, Mehta revealed a Startup India hub, fests, innovation core programs for students in five lakh schools, setting up of 35 new incubators in institutions, seven new research parks and innovation focused programmes are in the plan.
