Israel takes the first step towards peace talks with Palestinian with releasing 104 Palestinian prisoners

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admits the fact that it had been completely painful not only for him but also for the entire nation of releasing 104 Palestinian prisoners. The act for releasing all the prisoners came in the path of restarting peace talks between Israel and Palestinian. Israel had moved forward with peace talks following Obama’s administration advice, but Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas had refused any peace talks unless Israel does not agree to release their prisoners, who according to them were freedom fighters. However, for Israelis they were just listed as hardcore terrorists.
From 104 prisoners some were Palestinian militants charged with bombing in the country, stabbing and shooting civilians that included women as well as children and further ambushing and killing border guards, police, security agents and soldiers. Some were even charged with horrifying attacks, where they bombarded school buses killing small children in huge numbers. For the Israelis it definitely would have been very hard to accept this demand, but either because of political persuasion or in good gesture, Israel is releasing all these prisoners. The prisoners would be released within nine months in four stages and that too after the peace talks start and reach to some positive result. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV
