teachers-day-3Teacher’s Day is a great opportunity to express your respect to your teachers and extend your gratitude for making you what you are. It is the time to pay tribute to them, who have shaped our your career and imparted knowledge to us, not just to excel academically, but also to develop your personality. Today on Teacher’s Day, NMTV pays tribute to all those teachers who even today are an integral part of us. A day that is dedicated to the hard work that is input by the teacher all year long, a day that is a complete tribute to the teachers all around, that is Teachers day. Teacher day is celebrated on 5th of September. Teachers Day is a dedication to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education and was one of the most well known diplomats, scholar, president of India and above all a teacher. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday has been observed as teachers’ day and this led to its origin. This day is just a mere reflection of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s love for and attachment to the teaching profession. As a matter of fact Dr. Radhakrishnan himself asked his admirers to celebrate his birthday not as his birthday but as the teacher’s day. Teacher’s day is now one of the occasion that is looked forward by the teachers and students alike as on this occasion its not only when teachers are praised but also around various schools students dress up as a representation of their teachers and take various lectures that are assigned to the teachers they represent. While every teacher ensures that they prove to be the best instructor for their students, the choice of that ‘special teacher’ becomes subjective. For students, their special teacher is the one, who cares for them, understands their limitations and of course, teaches well. On this day, be it school-goers or college-goers, all were of the opinion that while it is the mother who gives birth, it is the teacher who gives the worth. Like students, even teachers feel the emotion and the bond with their students, even if they were notorious. For them teaching while a challenge is a heartfelt passion, an interaction with the youth. Teachers have a very special place in the society. They have the instinct to recognize talent and nurture it. They are the creators of responsible citizens, who contribute to the society in one-way or the other. Students, especially the small children, often consider their favorite teacher as the perfect person on earth.
