The Navi Mumbai Jain Sthanakvasi Sangh, Vashi held various cultural and religious events on a grand level. Under the Pravachan Prabha Maharaj, thousands of devotees visited the temple and read bhajans. Known as a very important month for the Jain Community, Paryushan Parva was celebrated in a grand scale in Vashi. The celebration that began from 28 August to 4th September saw a huge crowd of devotees visiting the temple. Not just from nearby areas and people from far off places too visited the temple. We spoke with Abhay Kotecha of the Jain Sthanak Sangh about the celebrations. Like all communities, Jain community too spreads the message of peace and brotherhood between each other. The festival is about renewing the faith in the doctrines of Jainism. Bhajan and Kirtan were held by Tapaswini Darshan Prabha Maharaj and Anupama maharaj.
