CIDCO Chairman Nakul Patil tossed the coin for the NMMC’s State Level Women’s kabaddi match while Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik gave the start to the men’s match. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s State Level Kabaddi Tournament saw participation of 16 teams of men and 16 teams of women. The finals were the show stealer. CIDCO Chairman Nakul Patil graced the finals of the women’s kabaddi match that was played between Suvarn Yug women’s team of Pune and Dr. Shirodkar’s Mumbai team. Continuing their victory to the women’s title for the second year in a row, Suvarn Yug women’s team of Pune beat Dr. Shirodkar’s Mumbai team. On the other hand, Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik gave blessings to the men’s players contesting in the final match for the championship title. The match was played between Air India Men’s Team and Central Railways Men’s Team where Air India beat Central Railways. The prize distribution ceremony saw a cluster of dignitaries grace the dais that included Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, CIDCO Chairman Nakul Patil, Mayor Anjani Bhoir and NMMC Commissioner Vijay Nahata.
