KURLA POLICE RAID RESCUES PARROTS

kurlaThe Kurla Police along with an NGO raided a godown in Nehru Nagar at Kurla rescuing caged birds in huge numbers. These birds were caught from the nearby jungles for smuggling. The Kurla police along with Raghuveer Manavta Seva Sanstha, a social organization raided a godown at Kurla where around 5000 birds and 100 parrots were caged in a room. The birds were caught by two Kurla residents Iqbal Shaikh and Nawab from nearby jungles. These birds were being sold off at huge prices. The police has registered a case against the two accused who are still absconding. Santosh Pandey – NMTV News.
