After the Science Express, this time CST railway station had the Lifeline Express to help the disabled and ignorant who are robbed of health. This train, courtesy Impact India Foundation has benefited around thousands especially in the rural areas. Coming up with a unique idea, Impact India Foundation launched the Lifeline express which is a hospital on a train. Launched in 1991, the Lifeline Express is the world’s first hospital on train. Over 400,000 Indians have so far benefited from the remarkable train, and other countries have come forward to start their Lifeline Express on which major surgeries have been performed to restore movement, hearing, sight and correction of clefts. All the operations conducted on this train are free of cost and even medicines are distributed without any charge. The man behind this initiative, Colonel Ranvir Vishvan expressed that their main was to provide health and medical opportunities to the far-flung areas. Bureau report NMTV.
