In one of its millions of initiatives for the welfare of the society, Lions Club International organized an event at the Lokhandwala grounds where over 5000 under privileged children were invited to participate. The event was all the more grand with the presence of Lions Club International’s President Lion Al F Brandel and his wife Dr. Maureen Murphy. Lions Club International members are those active members of communities who in their small ways try to nurture the young people of the community and also give happiness to those people who need it the most. As volunteers come together, there is a simple act of kindness but this simple act can be a miracle for someone. Something that was proven again when in Lions Club event where over 5000 under-privileged children were invited to participate in the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister late Indira Gandhi. Lions Club International’s district President Mital Mehta spoke to NMTV News about the event. Lions Club International’s President Lion Al F Brandel and TV host Pooja Bedi joined the celebrations. The enthusiastic students also shared their experience with us. Earlier a meet was also held that Lions Club International District 323 that saw the discussion on the future policies and working of the Club. This meet was graced with the presence of Lions Club International’s first lady Dr. Maureen Murphy who stressed on welfare works for women.
