Indian Bank, Vashi had organized a loan mela for the citizens of Navi Mumbai. The concept was based on in-principal sanctioning of loans, which means making people aware about the loan amount that they are eligible for. A Loan mela was organized by Indian bank, Vashi with the basic aim to reach and meet the needs of their customers. Home loans and education loans are one of the ways through which homebuyers or students make their financial needs meet. The mela concentrated on these two loans where the customers were given information on the loan amount they were eligible for. Another benefit of the programme was the interaction that would take place between a customer and the bank through which many doubts of the customers about obtaining loans can be cleared. Assistant general manager of Indian bank, A Sengupta gave us more insight of this programme. He also explained about the in-principmal sanction that was given to the customers. The minimum documents required for loans are 6 months salary slip for salaried or Income tax returns for the last 3 years for businessmen or self employed.
