With water shortage being felt every where in the city, the life of the residents of Ganpatipada in Indira Nagar, Turbhe is no different. The residents of Ganpatpada in Indira Nagar, Turbhe have been devoid of water shortage for the last 5 months. Nearly 5000 people are residing in this area but shockingly NMMC has provided them with only two water taps which provides water for a merely half hour per day. Making matters worse for the residents, the drainage pipelines are broken. The dirty water that leaks from the drainage pipelines gets mixed with the drinking water and the residents have no option but utilize the same water for survival. Even the water from the well in the node has dried up and what is left is swimming in dirt and filth. Despite the local complaints to the local corporator, their issue seems to be simply ignored by the corporation. NMTV Bureau report.
