Actor Sushmita Sen can breathe easy. Her stalker – who for days on end was allegedly flooding her cellphone and inbox with lewd messages – was arrested by the Mumbai police in Delhi. Delhi based stock market broker, Amber, was arrested by the Mumbai Police for sending indecent and obscene letters and gifts to Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen. Mumbai Police arrested the accused, Amber Bipinchandra Gada, from the Tilak Nagar area in Delhi with assistance from Delhi Police. Gada had been making crank calls and sending gifts in the form of toys and chunaris to Sen through courier along with the letters. Sushmita, who had earlier dismissed his obscene gestures, taking him as an obsessed fan took serious notice of his harassing behaviour once Gada allegedly threatened her saying that he would personally come to Mumbai and harm her physically. Taking quick action, a formal complaint was lodged by Sen’s secretary, Rebecca Pereira, with the Khar police station. Looks like Gada was much inspired by Sen’s debut flick Dastak, where the actress played the role of a beauty pageant winner, who was tortured by an obsessed fan. Bureau report – NMTV.
