MAN WALKS FROM KERALA TO ALL COASTS TO SPREAD THE SPIRIT OF HUMANITY

Man-walk-2If you see a average built man, walking along the coast toting along a huge backpack, don’t be surprised. It would be Tapas Kumar Das who has walked along the coast all the way from Kolkata and has now reached Navi Mumbai en route to Gujarat. 31 year old Tapas Kumar Das, began his journey from Kolkata on 13 October, 2007. He has walked 5500kms in the last 198 days crossing 9 states and 67 districts. Having passed various states like Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala on his way, Tapas Das was enthralled by the variety and diversity in the cultures and traditions of the people living in different parts of our beautiful country. The main mission behind his walking spree is to spread the awareness about the condition of old people in our country. He stressed that those living in old age homes were unhappy and lonely. He said that each old person must cultivate their interests and hobbies and make their lives productive even as they get old.In Navi Mumbai, Tapas Das is staying with the Bhattacharyas.We wish the man walking coast with a noble cause, wishes for successfully spreading a message for the seniors of society.
