In order to teach Marathi to non marathi speaking people, Marathi Sahitya Sangh has been organizing teaching classes since 1972. Infact the classes are taken by Tamilians, reports Vasudha Dhumak. While the MNS and Shiv Sena might be spilling negativity over the Marathi language issue, enforcing it on the people, there are some who are willing learning and teaching the language. Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangh took up the task of teaching Marathi to non-maharashtrians in the year 1972. And now the branch of this tree has spread across Mumbai. Tamil Sangam situated at Sion started Marathi classes for Tamil people. Every Sunday these Marathi language classes are held. A 72 year old student explained the reason for taking admission here.
