MCGM COMMISSIONER DR. JAIRAJ PATHAK STATES NO PROHIBITION IN SACRIFICING ANIMALS BUT PROHIBITION ON EXPORT OF THEM

mcgm2MCGM Commissioner Dr. Jairaj Pathak has announced that while there would be no ban on sacrificing of animals at the Deonar slaughter house on the occasion of Bakra-Id, export of these animals is strictly prohibited. This time on the celebration of Bakra-Id, MCGM is going to provide special provisions outside the Deonar slaughter house. MCGM Additional Commissioner Kishore Gajbiye informed that spots would be allotted, proper toilet facility, water supply, tanks and other facilities outside the slaughter house. He stated that there is an estimation of 1.75 lakh goats and sheep that would be slaughtered here out of which 1.25 lakh stock of the animals have already arrived. MCGM Commissioner Dr. Jairaj Pathak informed that while there would be no ban on sacrificing of animals at the Deonar slaughter house, exports would have to be halted due to a decline in the livestock of buffalos.
