MCGM ties up with Israel for water management solutions

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Israel’s New Tech Corp on water management technology. The attempt is to understand the technology of water distribution and supply system in this country.

MCGM’s Additional Municipal Commissioner Rajiv Jalota and Oded Distel, Director of Newtech, on behalf of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor of the State of Israel signed a joint declaration. Mayor Shraddha Jadhav who was also present during the signing ceremony informed about this agreement. As far as the agreement goes there will not be any financial implications but it is for sharing the technology. Speaking to the media about the agreement, Orna Sagiv, Consul General, Israel informed that Israel recycled nearly 80% of water which is later used for agriculture.

Raising the concerns of Israel having huge scarcity of water, she said that Mumbai was lucky in that matter. On the other hand, Oded Distel, Director of Newtech said that this was a great opportunity for both the countries. With cameraperson Raju Sharma, Sana Warsia for NMTV News.
