In a historical move, MCGM has decided to build 21000 high rise buildings for its cleaning workers at a cost of Rs. 870 crores. It was a Diwali gift for the 27000 cleaning workers of MCGM for whom the civic body has decided to build 21000 high-rise buildings with the budget of Rs.870 crores. During the construction of these buildings, BMC has decided to provide its workers with all the basic amenities that should be allotted during Mass Housing Schemes. The buildings will accommodate playing grounds, health centres, community halls, libraries and gardens.
