MCGM TO STAY ON HIGH ALERT DURING HEAVY TIDE

bmc-2With the July 24 high tide date coming near, MCGM has asked Mumbaikars not to worry if it does not rain heavily that day but at the same time take precautionary measures. There is no need to worry if it does not rain heavily on July 24, Municipal Chief Jairaj Phatak said. MCGM had in the month of May released a series of dates when the high tides were expected to hit the metropolis. The civic body had that time warned of a 26/7 deluge as the city would witness highest tides this monsoon on July 24 at 1403 hours which is about 57 cm higher than the tide of July 26, 2005.
