amburn1We see many social activists working for the rights and well being of the poor and needy. But we rarely see a professional or a working person getting involved into social work. But there are few people who feel that social work is the essence of life. Meet Mr and Mrs Ambure, who are doctors by profession and have adopted a village named Chinchawli Mr and Mrs Ambure, who are doctors by profession, have adopted Chinchawli village, which is 8 kms away from Panvel. They have been providing free medical service and medicines to the villagers since one month. Chinchawli village has a primary heath centre, which is not well facilitated. Lack of medical services in the village prompted the Ambures to adopt this village and treat the villagers free of cost. They visit the village on the first Sunday of every month with stock of medicines. He also said that, with such medical camps, approximately 70% of the deaths caused due to common diseases could be brought down.
