The development work of the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkoper Metro train corridor has become a cause of concern for the locals as with no path the pedestrians have to walk almost a kilometer to reach their destination. The development work of the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro train project has started off in full force. While the construction of the corridor has started at the Andheri-Kurla road but there is no way for the locals to cross the road amidst the development work. Hence they are forced to walk more than a kilometer to reach their destination. The most problem is faced by the school-going children. The locals are demanding for a proper path for them to cross over. The area is also prone to traffic jams which makes it worst for the school-going children. The Metro project is being carried out by Reliance in collaboration with MMRDA. The metro trains run on the tracks would be manufactured from China.
