Maharashtra State’s Former Security Commissioner launched the Micro Technologies Micro SBB or the Secure-Bank Black Box – a banking security tool. We bring to you a report. The Micro SBB or the Secure-Bank Black Box was launched at the hands of Maharashtra State’s Former Security Commissioner N Vithal in the presence of Micro Technologies India Ltd.’s MD Dr. Shekhar and Director Anant R Kale. Using both wired and wireless technology, Micro SBB can be incorporated into the existing security scenario or used as a standalone solution. The product can be installed at sensitive areas in the bank, so as to enable access control, enabling entry via RFID swipe card, password keypad panel, remote access using wireless transmitter, and biometric identification, which is an add-on feature. There is also a camera sensor, which takes pictures and uploads them to the web for easy access and a video phone. It can also be used for bank locker security, where every time a protected locker is opened, the information may be sent to the locker owner via email or SMS. Similarly, a press button can activate an alert (of three levels), sending messages and venue maps via same channels. The Micro SBB is highly customizable and can run on both electric and battery power. All its features ensure low down time by virtue of increasing points of failure. Other optional features include audio-visual indications, fire sensors, laser based identification, breath analyzer tests and more.
