Terrorist activities have left the minority community vulnerable and worried. To deliberate upon the concerns of the community a one-day conference was held in Mumbai. Unfortunately, the minority leaders to a large extent have failed to do justice to the concerns and worries of the community that reflected in this conference too. Combing operations post terror attacks and blasts often end up making persons from minority community vulnerable to unjustified action by the police. A one-day conference held in Mumbai reflected upon the concerns and worries that are mounting on the community by the day due to these operations by the police. Several community leaders from across the state participated in the conference and put forth their issues and dilemmas in front of the administration. Present during the conference was Samajwadi Party leader Abu Asim Asmi stated that the state should take this issue with seriousness as innocent people hassled during the process. However, what cannot be overlooked is that minority leaders have not done more than politics when it comes to standing up for their community and taking up issues that are slowly becoming the biggest society challenge that moderate Muslims are facing across the country.
