The state government has decided to develop all the areas coming under the MMRDA at a cost of Rs 25000 crore. For the same a proposal has also been prepared and has been set forth in the State Assembly for discussion. With the aim of connecting the 6 Municipal corporations and 13 city corporations falling under MMRDA and develop them as a whole, the state government has planned to start a scheme of Rs 25000 crore. The tender for the project has been done on an international level with the blueprints prepared by an international company. At a time when the state is under lakhs of crores of debt, power crisis, farmer suicide and increasing poverty, how viable is it for the state to plan such a project is a question many citizens want answered? Or is it just another scheme formulated by the state to fill the coffers of a few. With cameraperson Abhay Prasad, Rajeev Mishra for NMTV News.
