MNS SPITS VENOM AGAINST PRIVATIZATION – SAYS WON’T ALLOW PRIVATISATION OF MSRTC

mns1With elections approaching, all political parties are campaigning in full force and bringing together their party workers. MNS Chief Raj Thackeray’s formal launch of their party’s transport workers union was one of them. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena will not allow privatization of Maharashtra State Transport Corporation, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray said after formally launching the State Transport wing of his party at Mumbai Central. Everyone knows what happens under privatization. He questioned whether there will be a guarantee that the jobs of MSRTC staff will be secure after privatization. He said come what may, they will oppose all moves to privatize MSRTC. Raj Thackeray also unveiled a board bearing the name of the new MNS wing, ‘Maharashtra Navnirman Rajya Parivahan Kamgar Sena’. Referring to the 14 workers’ unions already active in MSRTC, Raj asked members of the new body to maintain unity for solving problems faced by MSRTC workers. Interestingly, former CIDCO Jt. Managing Director Deepak Kapoor has taken charge as the new State Transport Commissioner. How does the otherwise politically suave Deepak Kapoor handle the aggression and opposition of the workers union in management decisions, is a definite wait and watch.
