Adaranjali – the condolence meet organized in the memory of mother Subhadra Ramchandra Naik was a heart touching occasion for all who attended the meeting. As members of all communities prayed and recalled the social contributions of Mataji Subhadrabai, the occasion became all about praising the greatness of mothers. Those who lost their mothers shed tears in memory of their mothers while those who have their mothers around them, thanked God for the presence of their mothers in their lives – such was the feeling that “Adaranjali” – the condolence meet organized in the memory of mother Subhadra Ramchandra Naik evoked in all present. Members of all communities gathered in large numbers to pay rich tributes and homage to mother Subhadra Ramchandra Naik – mother of Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik who passed away on January 22, 2011. All members of Naik family received the crowd. Call it destiny that both of Ganesh Naik’s parents passed on the same day that is January 22. A Muslim cleric, a Christian priest, a Buddhist Monk, members of Brahmakumari and many others gathered at the venue to pay rich tributes to mother Subhadra Ramchandra Naik. Sr. journalist Anil Tathe’s speech touched the hearts of all present and brought a warmth that one only feels in the presence of mothers. Tathe started his address with a narration on the relation that Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik shared with his mother. He said what everyone has been saying – how the mother Subhadra Ramchandra Naik gave the city a lineage of leaders in the form of her sons and grandsons. For Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, his mother was his guru. The senior scribe concluded his speech with a poem to pay tribute to the beloved mother of the city. Advocate P C Patil of Bonkode village recalled the work of Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik’s parents and how they were lucky to have a son like Minister Ganesh Naik. BJP MLA Sanjay Kelkar said that it was the teachings and values that mother Subhadra Ramchandra Naik imparted that the entire Naik family was blessed with such accomplishments. Former MLC Anant Tare said that Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik was lucky that his mother lived to see his successes. Congress leader Madhav Shelar pointed out how it was destiny that both of Ganesh Naik’s parents passed away on the same day. The condolence meeting not only paid rich tributes to mother Subhadra Ramchandra Naik and her social contributions but such was the heart-warming feeling of the entire meet, that at the end of the day it became all about praises, respect and love for the greatness of mothers.
