MOTOR MEN COME OUT AT RAILWAY STATIONS TO CAMPAIGN AGAINST RAILWAY AUTHORITIES APATHY

Local trains are known as the lifeline of the city but for the railway employees it is their livelihood. Similar words were imprinted on pamphlets that were distributed by the members of National Railway Mazdoor Union to commuters at various railway stations in a campaign to protest against the apathy of railway authorities towards its employees. National Railway Mazdoor Union had organized a public campaign at Vashi and Belapur railway stations where they distributed pamphlets to the commuters informing them about the problems that they faced due to the negligent attitude of the railway authorities which inadvertently creates problems for the commuters too. One of the points that the campaign highlighted was that the railway authorities had introduced new racks but no proper training was provided to the employees on its usage. Chairman of the union B.K Bahadur gave a detailed insight of this public campaign. The demands of the members included:
