In what could be a major boost to power services in Belapur, Nerul, Sanpada and Vashi, the MSEDC has chalked out a Rs. 105 Crore plan for upgrading infrastructure in these nodes.
That there is a need to upgrade infrastructure and better power services in Navi Mumbai is felt most every time monsoons are here. Its then that there are short circuits and sudden power cuts inconveniencing citizens the most. In order to address these complaints of citizens and work on the shortcomings of the power services, the MSEDC has made a plan of Rs. 105 Crore for upgrading power in Nerul sub division that consists of Belapur, Nerul, Sanpada and Vashi. The Executive Engineer of the area Sanjeev Chaudhary gave an insight on their new plan to NMTV News.
The MSEDC is adding 6 new sub stations to the existing 7 sub stations of which work on 5 sub stations will be completed in three months time. In the 6 new sub stations, 2 are coming up at Nerul, 2 in Sanpada, 1 in Belapur and 1 at Vashi.
