msedc-transformer-3The MSEDC chose the auspicious occasion of Ganeshutsav for the installation of a 10 MW transformer at Nerul. For providing better services and uninterrupted power supply to customers, the MSEDC installed a 10 MW transformer at Sector 11, Nerul. This was done keeping in mind the increasing populations of the area. The sub station here earlier had a 5 MW transformer, which has been replaced by the new transformer installed with an expenditure of Rs. 80 Lakhs. The MSEDC aims at providing efficient services and uninterrupted power supply to nearly 15, 000 customers of the area. Certain areas of Sanpada and Juinagar will avail the benefits of the new this transformer. MSEDC has also extended the date of its “Amnesty Scheme” till the 14th of September in lieu of Ganeshutsav festival. Under the scheme, the MSEDC has waived off the penalty or interest charged for not paying bills by residential or commercial units. The event saw the participation of MSEDC Superintending Engineer Satish Karpe and Nerul Division Executive Engineer Yashwant Kamble amongst others.
