Keeping in mind the future requirement of power, MSEDC is planning to buy 17 new substations in Navi Mumbai. Approximately Rs 319 crores would be spent to establish these substations in the different nodes of the city. With the development of the city, the requirement for power would also increase in future. Therefore, MSEDC is planning to establish 17 new substations in various nodes of the city. Earlier, the initial set up was estimated at a cost of Rs 250 crore, it has now been increased to Rs 319 crores. MSEDC superintending engineer gave us an insight. These substations would be established in Vashi, Nerul, Panvel, Uran and other nodes to meet the future requirements of power in the city.
