MSEDCL has filled its coffers with a whopping Rs 3 crores from defaulters. The company has nailed 7535 defaulters in the last three months. MSEDCL Superintendent engineer of Navi Mumbai region DR Saboo spoke with NMTV News and informed that the company had collected an amount of more than Rs 3 crore from defaulters who failed to pay electricity for the last two to three months. Tightening the ropes, the company has even gone ahead and disconnected power supply for some of the defaulters. MSEDCL has also started an awareness programme for consumers to spread the message of energy conservation. He further threw light on the power cuts faced by the farmers of Panvel.
